Q - Quarter Registration Info (STAR)

Function
This screen displays a lot of relevant quarterly information that is specific to the student. It also displays academic program(s), miscellaneous program(s) and various demographic information. This screen should be used carefully because there is very sensitive information on it. Some data elements only display for users if that user has been granted specific access to it/them (i.e. SSN, Sex, Ethnicity, etc).
Data Elements
The possible 'Sex' field values for gender would be M, F, or X.
M = Male
F = Female
X= Non-binary ('X' is the non-binary marker to represent the changes to CA law that went into effect in 2019.)
Additional Screens/F-Keys
Fees(F4)
This screen displays all of the quarterly registration fees that are assessed using the Student Information System. This does not show all fees that may be assessed on a student's record during a quarter. Things like Lab Fees, Rent and various departmental fees will not display here.
Majors(F5)
This screen displays all of the academic programs (Majors) that the student has been enrolled in. It also shows the range of quarters during which the student was enrolled in the program(s).
MCP(F6)
This screen displays the student's status in maintaining Minimum Cumulative Progress (MCP). Although still an active policy (as of 2021), MCP is not enforced at the University.
Restrict(F12)
This screen displays any courses/permutation of courses that the student has been restricted from registering in. As these records are tied to the student directly, they are independent of the quarter and apply at any time.
