Operations (various systems)

  • System Updates and Enhancements

    • Summer class level is now calculated before assigning pass times (only affecting continuing students who create their quarter in GOLD). This will alleviate the issue of students getting later pass times when their completed units calculate them at a higher class level.

    • Chatbot deployed to Registrar’s website (welcome Storkie!)

    • Student Communicator (SREG) selects current quarter+2 in the drop down, allowing scheduling staff to send messages for all quarters being scheduled.

  • Data Management

    • Deleted several instances of either duplicate or orphaned academic program records.

  • Bug Fixes

    • Resolved an issue with user not being able to run the STAR approval code extract. Solution applied to other users for future remediation.

    • Resolved degree audit error for student with duplicate academic program records.

    • Ongoing SLR error remediation.

Coursedog

  • Additional master course records added for Long Title and Course Descriptions. Manually updated in ODS for approved course proposals that have not yet been synced to the SIS. The title and descriptions for these courses are now displayed in GOLD (affected the F23 schedule). This will need to be an ongoing effort until the API between Coursedog and UCSB is fully functional.
