Academic Deadlines: Advancement, Petitions, and Degree Filing
Deadlines are posted on the Graduate Division website:

Degrees are officially conferred four times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer). A student must have finished all requirements by the final business day of the academic quarter or Summer Session to have their degree conferred that quarter. The degree conferral date is the last day of each academic quarter or last day of the final Summer Session and it is this date that will appear on the student's official University of California diploma and transcript. Students who file in between quarters will have their degree conferred the subsequent quarter.
The deadline to complete all requirements in order to advance to candidacy is the last day before the start of a new quarter - a student's class level changes to P2 the next registered quarter
The deadline to make schedule adjustments is the last day of instruction for the quarter. Any requests after this date are retroactive and considered by exception.
