Academic One-time Room Requests
Please refer to SEALs Campus Event Reservation page for all other non-course specific room requests (eg. Campus Orgs, off-campus users, special events open to the public, non-academic departments, etc.).
ALL ACADEMIC ONE-TIME ROOM REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT.
Please use the following Astra Schedule portal for Academic One-time event requests associated with a specific academic course (i.e., must be associated with a course with an enrollment code). Examples of Academic One-time events include review sessions, alternate exam accommodations, quizzes, make-up lectures, etc. Academic One-times events must be led by an instructor associated with the course.
The Astra Schedule event request portal can be accessed here, using your UCSB NetID and password:
https://www.aaiscloud.com/UCA_SantaBarbara/events/EventReqIntroForm.aspx
Be sure to select the top item, "Academic One-Time Room Requests" from the drop-down on the Event Request page, unless your event requires a computer lab, is non-academic, or not affiliated with a specific course taking place during a given quarter. All other Campus Event requests can be be submitted using the 2nd form in the drop-down, titled " 2) General Assignment Space Requests (RCOs & Non-Academic Departments)."
Requests for a campus controlled computer lab may be submitted using the “3) Computer Lab Requests” form. Any computer labs not listed in the above link are department controlled and the department that controls the space should be contacted.
A FEW THINGS TO NOTE WHEN USING THE ACADEMIC ONE-TIME REQUEST FORM
Reservation requests for the following spaces should also be submitted using the "General Assignment Space Requests (Non-Academic Departments / Registered Campus Organizations (RCOs))" form:
Campbell Hall, Isla Vista Theatre, and Embarcadero Hall on Tues/Thurs after 2:00 pm, Mon/Wed/Fri after 3:00 pm, and on weekends (except for academic events during finals week and "pre-instructional" days)
A video tutorial for using the form is available here: https://ucsb-atlas.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/REGPUBDOC/pages/17403805872/Recorded+Trainings#Astra-Schedule
General Assignment classrooms are impacted with courses and available space is extremely limited, particularly during mid-day hours. It's helpful to view the Scheduling Grid in Astra Schedule to determine room availability before completing the form.
Finals week for a given quarter will not be available to event requests until after the final-schedule process has been completed (approximately one month prior to the end of the quarter).
