Completion of the Committee Create Action

Once all of the approvals are collected, then the action will be completed.

This will trigger a final email notification to the student, with a CC to the committee members and the Staff Graduate Advisor.

Any outside member (that doesn’t have a UCSB Net ID) will receive a slightly different message:

The reason for the different message is because the outside member can’t approve via GradPoint. They are “automatically” approved by the system. We assume that committees are determined prior to the official nomination process, but if the outside member responds indicating that they don’t agree to be part of the committee, that can be handled by removing them via a Committee Change Action.
