  • > 12 units of incomplete

  • A warning, no major repercussions

  • If no improvement after a warning quarter, department can request escalation to Probation

  • Warning does not prohibit employment

  • Internal employment exception needed (not sent to Graddiv)

  • Warning does not prohibit fellowship funding

Warning does not prohibit Financial Aid, however, Financial Aid can be effected if a student doesn’t finish enough work for a quarter, see Satisfactory Academic Progress on the OFAS website.

  • Not eligible to apply/be nominated, as students must be in Good Academic Standing

Monitoring

Master's Time-to-Degree Exceeded
  • Equivalent to a warning, no major repercussions

  • Doctoral Time-to-Degree Exceeded

  • Advancement to Candidacy Deadline Exceeded

  • Departmental Standards of Scholarship

    • If no improvement after a monitoring quarter, department can request escalation to Probation

    • Monitoring does not prohibit employment

    • If 1-3 quarters over TTA/TTD,

    internal
    • Home Department employment exception needed (not sent to Graddiv)

    • If 4 or more quarters over TTA or TTD, employment exception must be approved by Graddiv

    • Monitoring does not prohibit fellowship funding
