The Standing Tab is part of the Student Profile.

 

Why You Need It

The Standing Tab displays the Academic Standing (Warning/Monitoring/Warning) in regards to the Academic Performance and Performance Policy. This will display the quarters that each status applied to a student.

This is the Academic Standing that applies to the record (Monitoring or Warning)

Standing Status

Unresolved - the standing was not resolved that quarter

Canceled - the standing was canceled that quarter

Resolved - the standing was resolved that quarter

Applied Date

The date that the standing status was applied

The date that the standing status was resolved (if any)

Monitoring

  • If no improvement after a monitoring quarter, department can request escalation to Warning

  • Monitoring does not prohibit employment

  • If 1-3 quarters over TTA/TTD, Home Department employment exception needed (not sent to Graddiv)

  • If 4 or more quarters over TTA or TTD, employment exception must be approved by Graddiv

  • Monitoring does not prohibit fellowship funding

  • Monitoring does not prohibit Financial Aid

  • Not eligible to apply/be nominated as students must be in Good Academic Standing

Warning (formerly Probation)

  • Funding is not allowed

    • If no improvement during the warning quarter, department can request academic disqualification

  • Employment is not allowed

  • Employment exception can be requested, only granted by Graddiv in rare situations

  • Fellowships not allowed

  • Not eligible to apply/be nominated as students must be in Good Academic Standing
