Incomplete Grade

• May only be requested by the student using the form on the Office of the Registrar website.

• Students automatically have through the end of the next academic quarter to resolve the Incomplete grade, otherwise it will turn to F, NP, or U as appropriate.

  • Fall courses have through Winter quarter

  • Winter courses have through Spring quarter

  • Spring courses have through Fall quarter

  • Summer courses have through Fall quarter

Incomplete Grade Extension

Form use to extend the deadline for resolution of an Incomplete grade beyond the next academic quarter.

• May only be requested by the instructor, department advisor, or department chair.

• May only be approved by the instructor or department chair.

• Requested using the “REGT-Incomplete Grade Extension” form in DocuSign.

  • Log in with your UCSB NetID and password

  • Choose "templates" at the top

  • On the left-hand side, under "Shared Folders" - "Campus templates" - Registrar's Office - the template should be visible there. It's called "REGT-Incomplete Grade Extension"
