eGrades Marking a Gradebook 'Ready for Review'

Instructors

This feature is intended for assigned Teaching Assistants and Proxies of a course who are authorized to login and view/edit grades for their discussion sections. They will not be able to submit grades, however. These users can enter grades and mark the course “ready for review.” This will send an email to the Instructor In-Charge notifying them that grades are ready to review or edit then submit to the Office of the Registrar. The Department Chair or Department Vice chair can also submit grades if the instructor is not available. Departmental Grading Coordinators (listed in the gradebook) will have access to enter/edit grades for all courses within the department, and can mark course sections ‘ready for review’ as well. If permission to eGrades is needed, the instructor will need to reach out to their department advisor to gain access.

Teaching Assistants & Proxies

The official TA’s or Proxies of a course are authorized to login and assign/edit grades for their discussion sections. They will not be able to submit grades, however. The TA/Proxy will have the option to enter grades then mark course sections as “Ready for Review.” This will send an email to the Instructor(s) In-Charge notifying them that grades are ready to review, edit and submit to the Office of the Registrar. Only an Instructor In-Charge, Department Chair, or Department Vice Chair can submit grades. If access to eGrades is needed, TAs will need to reach out to their department advisor and Proxies will need to either reach out to their department advisor or Instructor In-Charge to gain access.

Grading Coordinators

Grading Coordinators with permission to the department in eGrades will have access to enter/edit grades for all courses within the department, and can mark course sections as ‘Ready for Review'. This will send an email to the Instructor(s) In-Charge notifying them that grades are ready to review, edit and submit to the Office of the Registrar. Only an Instructor In-Charge, Department Chair, or Department Vice chair can submit grades. If permission to eGrades is needed, please have your department Business Officer or designated administrator submit an online RegAccess Request.
