GPA | Grade Point Average OR Graduate Program Assistant | The GPA (grade point average) is a numerical representation of a student’s academic record. In the US, the scale is usually 4.0. Never convert a student’s GPA to 4.0 - always leave it in the scale used by the institution they attended. A GPA (graduate program assistant) is a staff member who works with a specific (or sometimes multiple) department(s). | |
GRE | The GRE (and/or GRE subject tests) is an exam that departments can choose to require. If a department does not specifically require the GRE, then none of their applicants will be able to provide it.
