EMMA Email Communications
Important Announcements, Memos, and Funding Information
Most of our official Graduate Division communications from our Graduate Dean, Academic Services, Admissions, Outreach, & Diversity, the Graduate Student Resource Center (Professional Development), Student Financial Support, and Marketing & Communications are sent via the EMMA email platform. (Link: Example of what a typical EMMA email looks like)
This is the same email messaging platform used by the Chancellor, Student Affairs, and other divisions and departments across campus.
EMMA is PERMISSION-BASED. This means if you opt out of ONE of our emails, you end up opting out of ALL of the messages we send from the Graduate Division EMMA platform.
If you occupy one of the Department Chair, Graduate Faculty Advisor, Business Officer, Staff Graduate Advisor, and/or Diversity Officer roles designated to you in GRADPOINT, please DO NOT OPT OUT from our messages.
HOW TO OPT BACK IN to Emma
Search your inbox for an email you have previously received from the Graduate Division EMMA platform. SCROLL all the way down to the FOOTER to manage your email preferences.
Click on “MANAGE.” This will generate a form where you will need to input your first name, last name, and email address. Make sure the email address matches your email address in the Campus Contacts section in GradPoint.
After you click “Submit,” you will be opted back into EMMA. We advise waiting a day before checking on whether or not you are still opted out of the platform.
