Requesting Access to Power BI

1. Users can view a list of current PowerBI Power BI applications, their descriptions, and how to request access to each one hereby visiting the following website: https://dataservices.ucsb.edu/power-bi-additional-access

2. By default, once any Power BI request has been placed, approved, and fulfilled for a faculty or staff member, that user will also receive automatic access Login using this linkto 3 default Power BI apps:

   1. Enrollment Analytics

   2. Course Analytics

   3. Program Review

Logging into Power BI

1. Visit the Power BI service login page, here: https://app.powerbi.com/home

   Note that

2. Enter an email address. The email address should be the user’s UCSB email address in the following format: UCSBNetID@ucsb.edu (for example if the user’s UCSB NetID is ‘jdoe’, then that user would use the email address jdoe@ucsb.edu):

4. The next screen will prompt the user to enter their password. The password is the same password associated with the user’s UCSB NetID:

4. A DUO multifactor authentication push will be sent to the user's registered mobile device and will require the user to verify their identity using their mobile device

Once logged in, the user can click on either  the ‘Apps’ button on the left-hand navigation menu or the 'My Apps' button when scrolling down the Power BI homepage to view a list of all apps that they have access to:
