Navigating to Power BI Accessing Apps and Reports

Once logged into Power BI, the user can navigate to the apps they were given permissions to one of two ways:

  1. By clicking on the ‘Apps’ button on the left-hand navigation menu:

  2. By scrolling down the Power BI homepage and locating the 'My Apps' button

Once you click on either of these options to view your apps, the apps will display in a list as such:

Click on any of the apps and a list of the reports under the app will display in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the webpage to access and utilize the reports. Note that each app typically opens to the FERPA statement at the top of the list.

By default, once any Power BI request has been placed, approved, and fulfilled for a faculty or staff member, the user will also receive automatic access to 3 Power BI apps:

  1. Enrollment Analytics

  2. Course Analytics

  3. Program Review

How to Go Back to the Previous Page

Oftentimes, the user can just click the back arrow on the top left of their browser, however if that fails to load or throws an error, an alternate way to to back is to click the ‘Go Back’ button located on the lower left-hand corner of the navigation pane:
