This handbook is intended to be used by Graduate Advisors to learn more about the what resources are available to Graduate Advisors and how to best support your students while you navigate this role as a Graduate Advisor. This handbook includes high level information about what each unit within Graduate Divisions does and who you can contact or where you can go for additional details.
New Graduate Advisors will have an Orientation at the beginning of the Fall quarter to give them a general overview of their roles and responsibilities. This orientation is usually the week after Fall quarter begins.
Twice a year Graduate Advisors are invited to a briefing by the Graduate Division staff to update them on the various activities of the Division and to give them pertinent information regarding campus policies. These Briefings are in the Fall (November) and Spring (April).
